KARACHI: Young man stabbed to death

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, May 26: A young man was stabbed to death in Bin Qasim area Thursday. Police said Pervaiz, 30, owner of a barber’s shop, was standing outside his shop when two brothers allegedly stabbed him in the limits of Sukhan police station.

Police said the victim was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead. Police said that suspects have been nominated by the father of the deceased as Obaidullah and Abdullah in the FIR.

Police said that the two suspects have been absconding and police are making raids for their arrest. Police suspected some business rivalry as a possible motive behind the killing as the suspects also own a barber shop in the same area.

BODY FOUND: A decomposed body of an unidentified young man was recovered from bushes close to a railway line off Mauripur Road Thursday.

Police said that the body was recovered near the mausoleum of Shams Baba. The body was at least three days old.

DEPRIVED: The wife of senior journalist of Dawn Habib Khan Ghori was deprived of her purse on Thursday when she was returning home from the college.

The incident was reported to the Mubina Town police. As she reached her house near Indus School in Block 4-A around 11.30 am, a white car coming from the street adjacent to Mobina Police Station pulled up near her.

One of the youth showed her a pistol and the other two coming out of the car snatched the purse and ran away in the car.
