Herald union’s office-bearers

KARACHI, May 25: In the biennial elections of Pakistan Herald Workers Union, Shafiuddin Ashraf was re-elected general secretary on Wednesday for the years 2005-2007. The following office-bearers had been elected unopposed: President Azizullah Sharif; vice-presidents, Sadiq Hussain Siddiqui and Fayyaz-ul-Karim; joint secretary, Mansoor Ahmad Siddiqui; treasurer, Abdul Samad, and propaganda secretary, Farooq Memon.

In the Wednesday’s polls, Khalid Hasan Khan, Abdul Rahim Sipahi, Yusuf Tanoli, Zahid-ul-Islam, Kazim Raza, Muhammad Bashir, Anees Hamdani, Ghulam Fariduddin and Muhammad Javed Khan were elected members of the managing committee.

The elections were conducted by the PHWU Election Commission comprising Habib Khan Ghori, Maqbool Elahi and Yusuf Soomro.
