PML group steps up anti-MMA campaign

By Our Staff Correspondent

QUETTA, May 25: A recently formed group of PML ministers and MPAs in a meeting here on Tuesday decided to speed up their campaign against MMA ministers’ attitude towards members of Pakistan Muslim League in Balochistan. The meeting, held at the residence of Mir Jan Mohammad Khan Jamali, was presided over by Shiekh Jaffar Khan Mandokhel, general secretary of PML Balochistan. It reviewed the over- all situation of the province in the perspective of coming budget.

It was decided that the group would not compromise on its principled stand and would continue its efforts for restoration of the PML’s status as senior coalition partner.

It was further decided that the group would establish contacts with PML MPAs and ministers and seek their support. The meeting dispelled an impression that the group was launching a movement against Chief Minister Jam Mir Mohammad Yousuf.

“Our efforts are for creating balance in the coalition government and not against our chief minister,” Mir Jan Mohammad Khan Jamali, told reporters.

He said that the meeting observed that if the practice of ignoring the constituencies of PML ministers and MPAs continued it would create difficulties for the PML supported candidates in Balochistan.
