KARACHI, May 25: Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal leader Senator Prof Ghafoor Ahmed has asked the United States to seek apology from the Ummah for sacrilege of Holy Quran by its soldiers in Guantanamo Bay prison, and award punishment to those responsible.

Addressing to a protest demonstration staged by children against the desecration of Holy Quran here on Wednesday, he said that even children were enraged by the US condemnable act and were raising their voice against the US blasphemous act, but all rulers of the whole Muslim world had no guts to raise any voice against this tragedy.

He said that the excuse of one magazine was not enough for such a heartbreaking act. He said that the US government must seek pardon from all the Muslims.

He warned the US to learn lesson from the fate of past superpowers, which were ruined by violating divine rules and profanity of holy books, prophets and religious places. He said that if the US did not refrain from such shameful acts its name could also be included in the list of those vanishing countries.

MMA Karachi President Hafiz Muhammad Taqi said that the US had attacked on the faith of Muslims by the sacrilege of Quran, and the whole Ummah was enraged except the puppet rulers of the Muslim countries.

He said that the demo of children was a message to the rulers that the nation was united to face the US atrocities at every level. He appealed to the citizens to participate in global protest demos against the blasphemous act of the US on May 27.

On the occasion, MMA MPA Nasurullah Shajee warned the US and its puppet Muslim rulers to refrain from agitating the Ummah.

Jamaat-i-Islami, Karachi’s Amir Dr Mairajul Huda Siddiqui said that the children’s demonstration was a message to the rulers that even children would sacrifice their lives for the sake of Islam. He said that the real terrorist was the US, who was busy in hateful acts against other faiths. He said that Muslims never performed such a cowardly act against the faith and beliefs of people of any religion. —PPI
