KARACHI: 2 young men shot dead

KARACHI, May 25: Two young men were shot dead after being kidnapped by unknown persons in separate incidents on Wednesday. In Lyari, unknown persons kidnapped a young man and shot him in the head at a narrow ally near Memon Hall early on Wednesday morning.

The victim was later identified as Jawwad Shah, 22. Police said that he was kidnapped from Nasir Colony, Korangi on Tuesday. The victim was jobless.

In Landhi, a hair dresser was kidnapped from his shop in Babar Market.

Police said that Mairajuddin, 24, was found dead with a head injury inflicted by a blunt weapon in Korangi Industrial Area No 6.

ARRESTED: The interior minister on some information that the officials of Qayoomabad police post had detained a person illegally for the last two days and had been torturing him, issued ordered to TPO Korangi and relevant SHO to recover the detained person and lodge an FIR against those involved in the illegal detention, adds PPI.

On these instructions, Muhammad Farooque was recovered from the police post and a case was registered against SI Nasir Saleem and ASI Saleem Raza. Nasir Saleem was arrested while raids were being conducted for the arrest of Saleem Raza.
