Trade with Syria

ISLAMABAD, May 25: Pakistan and Syria have signed a protocol for enhancing volume of trade and cooperation between two countries. An official announcement here on Wednesday said that the protocol stipulated specific measures for promoting greater interaction between business communities, exchange of delegations and commencement of technical talks for concluding a preferential treatment leading to an eventual free trade agreement between the two countries.

The protocol was signed at the conclusion of Pakistan-Syria Joint Economic Commission.
