Contractors threaten to launch protest movement

NOWSHERA, May 24: The contractors’ community has threatened to launch a movement against the district government in protest against the freezing of development funds and delaying payments to them. The contractors in a meeting held here on Tuesday said that they would stop work on development schemes if their arrears were not paid within a week.

They demanded of the provincial and federal governments to initiate probe into development funds of the district.

The meeting was attended by a large number of contractors from the district.
