KARACHI, May 2: Eight ships carrying containers and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Wednesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where three ships, Sea Guard, Global Prosperity to unload and load containers, and Sea Ranger to load cement were berthed after the departure of four.

The ships, which departed included Kota Mesra, Lalazar, Silver River and Emblem, while Vonuzs is due to sail out on Wednesday. Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 65,224 tons comprising 10,364 tons of export cargo, including 2,885 tons of rice and 788 tons of cement and 54,860 tons of import cargo.

The following ships are due on Wednesday: Y.M. Moon, Hyundai Stride, Thor Captain, Iran Shahryar, Sagamore, with containers, Indotrans Fiores, POS Stave and Fing Jiang, with general cargo.
