AFC referee course starts today

ISLAMABAD, May 23: The inaugural AFC Regional Member Association Football Instructors’ Refereeing Course for Central and South Asia regions is due to start on Tuesday, says a press release. India’s Milan Datta will conduct the course as chief referee while Ali Mohammad, Saeed Bujasim (UAE) and Mohammad Nazri Abdullah (Malaysia) will be the instructors.

The release said that AFC had chosen the following officials for the course: Manirul Islam, Abul Mansur (Bangladesh), Gagan Rai, Ratan Rai (Bhutan), John D’Costh, Michael Andrews (India), Hossein Asgari, Masoud Enayat (Iran), Viktor Kolpakov (Kyrgyzstan), A.M. Yapa, N. Wickramathunga (Sri Lanka), Eldar Razazanov (Turkmenistan) and Babur Kaydarov (Uzbekistan).

Former Pakistani FIFA referees, Atiq Rehmatullah, Shahid Khan, Naeem Zaidi and Faridullah Khan will attend the course as observers.

The course is to be inaugurated by the head of Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat at the Pakistan Sports Complex at 11.00 am.
