LAHORE, May 21: Except Karachi and Hyderabad the Inter-district U-19 cricket championship will begin in seven other regions simultaneously from June 1. The Karachi region matches will start from June 25 and will conclude on July 14.

Karachi has been divided into seven zones.

The matches of Hyderabad zone are scheduled to begin from June 5 and the 12 districts participating in it have been divided into pool “A” and “B”.

Pool “A” consists of Larkana, Shikarpur, Sukkur, Khairpur, Nawabshah and Jacobabad.

Pool “B” includes Hyderabad, Sanghar, Thatta, Mirpurkhas, Dadu and Badin.

In the Lahore Region six teams, two each of a zone (North, East and West) will take part. The teams are East Zone Whites and Blues West Zone Whites and Blues, North Zone Whites and Blues.

The matches will conclude on June 14. Sialkot, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Gujrat, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin are fielding one team each in the Sialkot region.

Peshawar Region is the biggest one in which 17 districts will take part and have been divided into three pools.

Pool “A” has Peshawar, Swat, Nowshehra, Dir Lower and Charsadda and Northern Areas.

Pool “B” comprises Dera Ismail Khan, Tank, Banu, Kohat and Fata.

Pool “C” has Abbotabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Swabi, Mardan, Dir Upper.

In the Quetta region, nine districts will feature, forming two groups “A” and “B”.

In pool “A”, Nushki, Pishin, Sibi, Killa Abdullah and Loralai are placed.

The pool “B” consists Quetta, Turbat, Kalat, Naseerabad. In Multan region, 13 districts will compete.

They have been divided into two pools.

The pool “A” has Rahimyar Khan, Rajanpur, Muzaffargarh, Layyah, Bahawalpur, Dera Ghazi Khan, Rajanpur while the “B” consists of Multan, Bahawalnagar, Sahiwal, Vehari, Okara, Khanewal.

The Faisalabad Region consists of Mianwali, Sargodha, Bhakkhar, Jhang, Kasur and Faisalabad.

The Rawalpindi region will include Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Jhelum, Attock, Chakwal and Rawalpindi.

The matches will be of two days duration, each.
