GUJRAT, May 21: An anti-terrorism court on Saturday declared 18 nominated accused in the murder case of former MNA Syed Manzoor Husain Shah as proclaimed offenders. According to the FIR lodged with Lalamusa Sadar police on Jan 2, 12 accused, including Muzamal, Yasir, Shafqat, Sagheer, Fazal Abbas, Mazhar, Waqar Abbas, Shafaat Husain, Samar Abbas, and Qasim of Dhola village and Nasir and Qaiser of Jorra village had ambushed the car of Manzoor Shah near Theekarian, killing him along with Ashraf Dar, Iqbal and Ghulam Ali.
Citing motive behind the killing, ex-MNA’s brother Mohsin Ali Shah had alleged in the FIR that three relatives Munawar Dhola, Ghulam Hur Dhola and Qasim Dhola of the accused were murdered a year ago. Among others, Manzoor’s nephew Waqar Haider Shah alias Qari Shah is also a nominated accused in this triple murder case.
Mohsin Shah alleged that the accused had murdered his brother and three aides to take revenge of the killings.
The complainant further alleged that six more accused of the Dhola village — Qamar Abbas, Tasawwar Husain, Imran, Jabran, Nazir Ahmad and Safdar Husain — had planned to kill his brother and other family members.
Those declared POs included Muzamal, Yasir, Shafqat, Sagheer, Fazal Abbas, Mazhar, Waqar Abbas, Shafaat Husain, Samar Abbas, Qasim, Qamar Abbas, Tasawwar, Imran, Jabran, Nazir and Safdar of Dhola village and Nasir and Qaiser of Jorra village.
