RLCA open trials from 25th

By Our Sports Reporter

KARACHI, May 19: The Rashid Latif Cricket Academy (RLCA) is conducting a four-day open trials in the practice area of National Stadium from May 25 to select trainees for its advanced coaching course which is scheduled to start on June 1, it was announced on Thursday. Interested cricketers in the 11-20 age group are advised to report at the venue at 9.00am along with their original birth certificates and white playing kits.

Former Pakistan captain and wicket-keeper Rashid Latif, the pioneer behind RLCA, has already announced that no fee will be charged from those who attend the open trials or those who are selected for the coaching course.

RLCA, which is in the final stages of completing its own practice area with 16 pitches at TMC Ground in Federal ‘B’ Area, will conduct the first month of coaching clinic at the National Stadium.

After the initial phase, the academy will short-list 25 players in various age groups who will then continue to attend regular coaching classes at RLCA’s own practice area under the supervision of qualified coaches.
