Asma moves LHC against police action

By Our Correspondent

LAHORE, May 19: Human Rights Commission of Pakistan chairperson Asma Jahangir has moved the Lahore High Court in a writ petition seeking registration of criminal cases against the policemen who, she contended, outraged her modesty during a rally on May 14.

The petition is fixed before a single bench for Friday (today).

Moved through Advocate Azam Nazir Tarar, the petitioner has pointed out that DSP Rehana in particular and the officials in photographs appearing in newspapers on May 15 were known to the police officers.
