KARACHI, May 19: Pakistan Railways has extended the local train service to Circular Railway loop. It will now run up to Wazir Mansion railway station. The local train service from the City Station to Landhi was inaugurated by the prime minister on March 8.

An official Yar Mohammad Sial said the service extended to Wazir Mansion station would cover Merewether Tower, Karachi Port Trust and Wazir Mansion. Those coming from Malir, Landhi would be benefiting from the service.

He said that KCR would leave Landhi at 7:20am, and reach Wazir Mansion at 8:45am.

It will depart from Malir Cantonment at 7:35am and reach Wazir Mansion at 9:15am. It would leave Wazir Mansion at 1:15pm, and reach Dhabeji at 3:35pm.

Sources said that the Sindh government has assured the KCR implementation committee that the KCR service would be extended to Nazimabad in the second phase and the entire loop would be made effective in two years, provided availability of required funds.
