KARACHI, May 19: Sindh Education Minister Dr Hamida Khuhro on Thursday directed all the concerned departments specially EDOs and colleges’ heads to constitute vigilance committees and strike down against the menace of cheating and eradicate it from the education system.

These directives were issued keeping in view complaints of cheating at examination centres in the ongoing intermediate exams.

Dr Khuhro said that such type of negligence in the past had caused deterioration in the quality of education in Sindh.

The minister said she was trying hard to improve the quality of education in the province and in this regard restructuring and strengthening of the public sector educational institutions was underway.

She said cheating culture and weakness of the department to control such menace was affecting her efforts to improve the system.—PPI
