LARKANA, May 16: The SHO Wagan Police Station, Inspector Safdar Abbasi, appeared before the court of district and session judge on Monday and filed a written statement saying that Allah Bukhsh alias Daado Unnar was wanted in a kidnapping case. Daddo Unnar was arrested two days ago from his Larkana residence and on Saturday he was recovered from the quarter of SHO Hamal police station after a raid conducted by the civil judge, Warah.
While filing an application against the civil judge, Warah, in the court of session judge, the SHO demanded that the accused (Allah Bukhsh alias Daado Unnar) be handed over as he was wanted in crime No.14/2005 registered at the Wagan police station under section 365A ppc. A co-accused in the same case, he added, had disclosed his (Unnar’s) name.
Advocate Mohammed Akram Shaikh, who appeared on behalf of Mr Unnar, said that it was the kidnapping case of Aqib Rajput in which the police had nominated Daado.
The SHO in his application maintained that after arresting Allah Bukhsh Unnar on May 14, he was kept at Wagan police station.
Apprehending that the PPP activists may attack the police station to release their leader, he was shifted to the Hamal police station with the permission of his superiors and SHO Mirokhan was deputed for Daado’s security.
The SHO said that when the civil judge, Warah, raided the Hamal police station, he did not inquire about the criminal record or entries of daily diary regarding the accused.
The SHO prayed to the court to hand over the accused (Allah Bukhsh alias Daado Unnar) to the police for investigation.
The court adjourned the hearing till June 2, said Mohammed Akram Shaikh advocate.
