KARACHI: Water project inaugurated


KARACHI, May 16: A water supply project was inaugurated in Manzoor Colony by Federal Minister for Housing and Works Syed Safwanullah, on Monday. He said that the prime minister had approved and sanctioned the first water project for Karachi from his special fund.

Mr Safwanullah said that the federal government had extended cooperation to the local government in the development of local infrastructure.

He said the water scheme was started under Khushhal Pakistan Programme, with a cost of Rs140 million.

The initial trenches of Rs10 million has been released and the next sanctions would also be relapsed soon, he said.—PPI
