KARACHI: Three killed in road accidents

KARACHI, May 16: At least three persons were killed in accidents on Monday.

Police said, a 60-years-old Khan Barjan was hit by a rashly-driven car at New Subzi Mandi about 9am on Monday, as a result he died on the spot. His body was shifted to Abbasi Hospital.

A man was killed when he was hit by a trailer at Jam Sadiq Bridge in Korangi Industrial Area. The victim a motorcyclist was identified as Hameed, 55. His body was shifted to Jinnah Hospital.

Manzoor Ahmed, a motorcyclist, was knocked down by a speeding truck in Mauripur.

Police said the accident occurred near Northern bypass. The victim was taken to Civil Hospital.

KILLED: An employee of a scrap shop was killed while the owner was critically wounded in Garden.

Police said armed suspects came to a shop of a scrap dealer and demanded cash. On resistance, the suspects opened fire, killing Younis Mahsi, 20, an employee at the shop and critically wounding Rashid Qazi, the owner of the shop.
