Ata shines in final

KARACHI, May 15: Skipper Ata Mohammad produced a splendid all-round show to guide Ebrahaim Alibhai School Metroville to a thrilling one-wicket victory over City Central Grammar School in the final of the PCB Inter-school cricket championship at National Stadium on Sunday.

Ata took three for 55 in nine overs with his medium-pacers and then cracked a brilliant match-winning unbeaten 94 off as many balls with four fours and three sixes.

Ata was also named Man-of-the-Match and the best player of the tournament.

Umar Butt (best batsman), Mohammad Zohaib (best bowler), Mohammad Moazzam (best wicket-keeper) and Fahad Hashmi (best fielder) were given special awards.
