KARACHI: Youth urged to stick to their roots

KARACHI, May 15: There is a dire need to strengthen the concept of family even in Muslim societies including Pakistan. This was said by Sindh Adviser Mumtaz Hameed here on Sunday, addressing a seminar to mark the World Family Day.

He said great responsibility lies on each and every segment of the society, particularly, the media to inculcate sense of respect among youth towards their elders and the senior citizens.

The adviser reminded that Islam professed mutual respect and regard among all members of a family and it was extremely essential to maintain the family concept preventing the society from degeneration and its member from serious threats of depravation and dissipation.—APP
