JACOBABAD, May 14: The Awami Ittehad took out a protest rally against gastroenteritis, load-sheding and non-supply of potable water, here on Saturday. The rally started from the Awami Ittehad Office.
Women, with pitches on their heads, also participated in the rally, demanding clean drinking water, an end to load-sheding and effective measure against gastroenteritis.
They marched on the roads at the DCO chowk and also staged a sit-in.
Speaking on the occasion, president of the Awami Ittehad, Abdul Jabbar, vice president Muhammad Ramzan Lashari, general secretary Ghulam Hyder Jamali and others said that with the spread of gastroenteritis, doctors were not available in the civil hospital as they were busy in their private clinics. They also demanded an end to load-sheding and supply of potable water.
