KARACHI: KU declares results of BSc exams


KARACHI, May 13: The University of Karachi on Friday announced the results of BSc (Pass) Part-I Annual Examinations 2004. According to statistics, some 3,310 candidates registered themselves for the exams, 3,138 appeared and 1,540 were declared successful. The pass percentage remained 49.08.

The results of 15 candidates were withheld for errors in the enrolment process, using unfair means and incomplete particulars.

MBBS EXAM: The KU also announced the schedule of First Prof Part A MBBS Supplementary Examinations 2005 to be held in May 2005.

According to the schedule, the paper of Anatomy-I would be held on May 24, Physiology-I on May 26, Biochemistry-I on May 28 and Islamic Studies/Pakistan Studies on May 30.

A total of 18 candidates are expected to appear in the exams. The exam centre has been set up at the Department of Mathematics, KU.

BCOM EXAMS: The examination forms for BCom supplementary examinations 2004 from both regular and external candidates will be accepted from May 18 to 28.

A KU notification said that outgoing students registered on or before 2002 would be eligible for the said exams, which will commence from the third week of June 2005.

Exam forms for external candidates will be available from the NBP/UBL branches at the KU’s Silver Jubilee gate while forms for regular candidates will be available at the NBP KU campus branch.

The schedule of exam fees and papers will be announced later.

Meanwhile, the KU exams department announced that candidates of BCom parts I II, and both parts external annual exams 2004, who had not yet received their marks sheet could submit their requests for new marks sheets till May 22 without payment. — PPI
