Best university award for SAU

HYDERABAD, May 12: On the basis of achievements and contribution in the field of agriculture education and research, the Sindh Agriculture University has been ranked as “the best agriculture university”. Vice-Chancellor Dr Bashir Shaikh has been invited to receive the award in a ceremony to be held on May 17 at the Al-Hamra Arts Council in Lahore.

A spokesman for the university in a statement issued here on Thursday said Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz would be the chief guest at the ceremony.

Punjab Governor Khalid Maqbool, Chief Minister Pervaiz Illahi and agriculture ministers of all four provinces will also attend the ceremony.—Bureau
