Former AJK PM’s secretary held
ISLAMABAD, May 12: Political secretary of former Azad Kashmir prime minister was arrested on fraud charges here on Thursday, police said. Syed Azadad Hussain Kazmi, political secretary to Barrister Sultan Mehmood, was arrested from his residence in Rawalpindi.
A businessman, Nasir Ahmed, told the police that he gave Mr Kazmi Rs2 million on February 18, 2004 to become the general sales agent of Safe Airlines. However, Mr Ahmed was neither made the agent or given back his money. After repeated requests, Mr Kazmi gave him a cheque for Rs2 million which turned out to be fake. The police alleged that Mr Kazmi also deprived people of millions of rupees in the name of Safe Airlines.
