KARACHI, May 11: Ghayasuddin hit a quick century to help Malir Cantonment Gymkhana (MCG) defeat Royal CC by 148 runs in the KCCA Centenary Inter-club cricket tournament on Tuesday. Ghayas blasted 12 boundaries and four sixes in his 112 and Ahmed Ali hit five 4s and a six in his 58 to help MCG reach 278-7.
Royal CC, in reply, crashed to 130 all out in the 17th over with Usman Khan taking four for 21.
In the other match, United CC defeated Tariq Gymkhana by 29 runs. Mohammad Waheed hit three fours and two sixes in his 64 as the winners made 171 in 32.5 overs. Tariq Gymkhana responded with 142 in 38.1 overs.
Meanwhile, Usman Farhat struck 110 with eight boundaries and Saif Ashraf 91, including five fours, as Delhi City Gymkhana scored a 19-run win over Mansoora Sports. For the losers, Fahim Imran was stranded on an unbeaten 95 which was laced with three sixes and as many fours.
In a controversial finish, Hamdam CC were declared winners after KGA Gymkhana walked out of their match after Sunil Shanker was adjudged caught in the deep.
