MIRPURKHAS, May 11: The engine and four bogies of a special train carrying doctors and railway staff from Khokhrapar to Mirpurkhas derailed near Jaloo-jo-Chaunhro on Tuesday. No one was hurt. Railway authorities had organised a free medical camp in Pithoro and Khokhrapar for the people of Thar.

The doctors and paramedics were returning from Khokhropar to Mirpurkhas after end of the camp in a special train when it was derailed.

Its engine and four bogies were also damaged. Officials along with equipment and materials reached the spot on Wednesday to clear the track.

Several such incidents had occurred in the past as the track is covered with sand.
