KARACHI, May 10: Three vessels carrying containers and chemicals were berthed at QICT and EVT during the last 24 hours, said a PQA press release on Wednesday. Meanwhile, two more ships with containers and chemicals also arrived at the outer anchorage.

Berth Occupancy was maintained 67 per cent as six vessels, MSC Deila, Freedom, Ulysses -II, Uljanik, Clipper Gem and Anette Kosan, were busy in loading and offloading containers, fertilizer, seeds, coal and chemicals. A cargo volume of 58,242 tons comprising 47,787 tons of import and 10,455 tons of export tonnage was handled.

Three vessels, Deila, Freedom and Anette Kosan, were expected to leave the port on Wednesday. While four ships, Maersk Alaska, CMA Kingston, Sutra Tiga and Fotini Lady, were awaiting their berthing turn at the outer anchorage. Two vessels, Keefan and Maersk Alaska, carrying HSD oil and containers were due to arrive on Wednesday while Socotra was expected to reach on Thursday.
