NFC: Sindh’s stand unchanged

KARACHI, May 10: The Sindh government has not changed its stand on the National Finance Commission award formula, senior provincial Minister Syed Sardar Ahmad told the Sindh Assembly on Tuesday. He was referring to a report saying that Sindh had given up its demand of treating revenue collection as one of the criteria for the distribution of resources among the provinces. He said the Sindh government stood by its position that the award should be based on multiple criteria, including population, revenue generation and collection and backwardness.—Staff Reporter
