LAHORE, May 10: A central leader of the ruling PML says there are no differences within the party and everything will become clear on Friday when the party elders will be meeting in Islamabad. Additional secretary-general Iqbal Dar said on Tuesday that Shujaat Husain, Hamid Nasir Chattha, Ejazul Haq, Manzoor Wattoo, Farooq Leghari and others would discuss the situation and decide the future course of action.

He said the party’s central working committee and the general council had been finalized and might be announced during the next few days.

He said all factions which had merged with the PML had empowered Shujaat to nominate the members of the two bodies. Accordingly, he said, the PML president had finalized a 200-member central working committee and a 1,500-member general council. A 30-member central executive committee would be finalized in consultation with other senior leaders, he said.

Dar said a parliamentary board had also been set up. He said a constitution of the united PML had also been prepared.
