Five explosions rock Gwadar, Quetta

QUETTA, May 9: Three powerful explosions rocked the Gwadar town and two others occurred in Quetta on Monday night, triggering panic among people. Sources said that the first explosion took place at around 10pm close to the Bilal masque. About 25 minutes later, a second bomb went off with a big bang near the Gwadar police station.

The sources said that the third blast occurred at around 10.35pm in front of the residence of an executive engineer of the building and road department, damaging its main gate.

The windowpanes of nearby houses and buildings were smashed, the sources said. In Quetta, the device was planted in a drain near a mosque on the Jaint Road. It exploded at around 12:10am, the sources said. The other bomb that exploded had been planted along the wall of a playground on Spani Road at 1:10am.
