Verdict on brawl soon

ISLAMABAD, May 9: The findings and recommendations of Pakistan Squash Federation’s disciplinary panel will be put before the executive committee before a final verdict is announced on the brawl between Farhan Mahboob and coach Rehmat Khan. Squash secretary Zulfiqar Ahmed said on Monday that the disciplinary committee that met in Islamabad last week had recorded the statements of both parties as well as the sequence of events.

The committee after hearing Rehmat and Farhan has suggested a few options of penalising the guilty party. Although both parties will have a right to appeal, indications are that Farhan would be at the receiving end for disobeying and abusing his coach.

The incident took place when Rehmat ordered Farhan to do a round of running as part of routine training but the player refused that led to a shouting match and a scuffle.
