Women’s cycling from May 13

LAHORE, May 9: Wapda will defend its title in the national women’s cycling championships to be held from May 13 to 15. Pakistan Cycling Federation (PCF) secretary Idris Haider Khawaja, said at a press conference on Monday that besides Wapda the other participating teams were Railways, Sui Southern Gas, NWFP, Balochistan and Punjab.

Eight events would be held in the three-day championship which are 500m time trials, one km sprint, three kms team pursuit, three kms individual pursuit, team sprint, elimination race, five kms individual road time trial and 10km road scratch race. Raheela Banoo of Wapda would defend her individual title, the secretary said.
