Drugs seized, two held

QUETTA, May 9: Customs intelligence have seized a huge quantity of drugs and arrested two people near Bostan on Sunday. According to official sources, Customs intelligence on a tip-off intercepted a truck headed for Quetta from Peshawar, near Bostan. While searching it, the officials found 1,100 kg of fine quality hashish. They arrested two people immediately.

Customs official Mubashar told newsmen that the value of the drugs seized was estimated to be millions of rupees in the international market.

ARMS RECOVERED: CID police have recovered a large quantity of arms and ammunition from a Nullah, near Quetta, on Sunday.

They include a rocket launcher, 25 hand grenades, 15 rockets, 15 fuses, and detonators.

Police said that, however, nobody could be arrested.
