RAWALPINDI, May 7: The provincial government withdrew the detention orders of 14 Pakistan People’s Party activists on Saturday. Seven of the activists detained in the Adiala Jail were released in the afternoon; however, the remaining named in the release orders were never apprehended. These activists had been arrested on April 25 and jailed for three months.
Those released were Agha Riazul Islam, Nazir Abbasi, Iftikhar Qureshi, Mohammad Shahid, Imran alias Kami, Asif Akbar and Mohammad Ilyas.
