Thrilling win for KW&SB


KARACHI, May 6: Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KW&SB) recorded an exciting one wicket win over UBL Karachi in the 14th KCCA inter-departmental cricket tournament at the UBL Sports Complex on Thursday. UBL Karachi, batting first, made 198 for nine in 40 overs. KW&SB, in reply, reached their target for loss of nine wickets on the penultimate ball of the match.

For the winners, Abdul Saad hit 63 with seven fours. In the other match, Investigation Police beat Candyland CC by 51 runs with Khalid Rasheed taking four for 35.

KW&SB beat UBL Karachi by one wicket.

UBL KARACHI 198-9 in 40 overs (Mohammad Mannan 50, Usman Farhat 44, Tariq Rasheed 31; Asif Mahmood 3-40, Nadeem Moosa 2-33);

KW&SB 199-9 in 39.5 overs (Abdul Saad 63, Adnan Ahmed 40; Usman Farhat 2-34).
