2-stroke lead for Munir

ISLAMABAD, May 6: Muhammad Munir led the field in the professional category at the start of the President of Pakistan Gold Medal Open Golf Championship at Islamabad Club on Friday. Munir of the host club carded six under 66 to lead the pack in which Irfan Mahmood followed with four under par 68, while Javed Inyat and M. Siddique shared third spot on three under 69. In the amateur net competition, Tariq Akbar was ahead with a score of 68 net and close on his heels was Inyatullah on net 69. Adnan Azizullah stood in third place with net 73. As in the net category, Tariq was also the leader in the gross event with a score of 76.
