GUJRANWALA, May 6: The PTCL higher-ups have ordered an inquiry into the incident of allegedly setting the Kot Nika Town exchange on fire by its corrupt staff and inducted Divisional Engineer Imran Ali inquiry officer here on Friday. Reports said the inquiry officer recorded the statements of the telephone exchange staff, including Assistant Engineer Riaz Ahmad, who denied the charges and claimed that exchange was burnt during heavy rains.
Sources claimed that some ‘black sheep’ in the exchange stole costly machinery and equipment and later set the exchange ablaze to conceal the crime.
