ISLAMABAD, May 6: The Mauritius government has appointed a senior Pakistani income tax official M. S. Lal as director-general of Mauritius Revenue Authority through an international competition. An announcement of the Central Board of Revenue (CBR) on Friday said as head of the revenue authority of Mauritius, member of tax policy and reforms, Mr Lal will be responsible for improving organizational structure and revenue collection system of the country. He will also have the mandate to implement tax policy.

M.S. Lal, is proceeding on retirement from government service from May 12.—Our Reporter
