KARACHI: Water shortage persists

By Our Staff Reporter

KARACHI, May 6: At least 100 houses in North Nazimabad’s Block C remain deprived of water for the last one month. Aggrieved residents say all their efforts in getting the supply restored have, so far, gone in vain. They deplored that it had been a month since more than 100 houses, starting from A-587, were without water, but the KWSB seemed unmoved. The water board has yet to take measures to restore the water supply despite a number of complaints lodged with the board.

“We have not only brought the lingering water issue into the knowledge of the concerned superintending engineer and executive engineer, but have also registered complaints at ‘134’; however, we still remain deprived of water,” a resident of the locality regretted.

Complaints of persisting water shortage have also been received from Mehmoodabad, Manzoor Colony, Clifton’s blocks 4, 5, 7, 9, Bath Island, Bhimpura, Kharadar.
