Two teenage girls killed in Kashmir blast


JAMMU, May 5: Two teenage girls were killed and 17 people were wounded in held Kashmir when a bomb planted by separatists went off at a Hindu wedding, police said on Thursday. “This blast was caused by an improvised explosive device. It was planted by separatists at the marriage function,” a police officer told Reuters. The explosion took place late on Wednesday at the wedding feast in Lower Matta village. Fourteen of the wounded were taken by military helicopters to Jammu for treatment.—Reuters
