ISLAMABAD, May 4: A delegation of the Alliance for the Restoration of Democracy (ARD) will leave for Sukkur here on Thursday on way to Dera Bugti to assess the Balochistan situation and express solidarity with the people of the province. Talking to Dawn here on Wednesday, ARD secretary-general Iqbal Zafar Jhagra said the 15-member delegation would be led by alliance’s chairman Makhdoom Amin Fahim. The team would reach Sukkur on Thursday evening and Dera Bugti on Friday.

Mr Jhagra, who is also secretary-general of the PML-N, said that Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP) chief Nawab Akbar Bugti had been informed about the delegations programme. It was decided in a meeting of the heads of component parties of the ARD in Islamabad on April 28 that a delegation of the alliance would visit Dera Bugti .
