MMA criticized for opposing marathons
ISLAMABAD, May 4: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MNA Kunwar Khalid Younus has criticized the Muttahida Majlis-i-Amal (MMA) for opposing holding of marathons in the country. In a statement here on Wednesday, Mr Younus criticized MMA MNA Qazi Hameedullah for defending his act of disrupting the marathon in Gujranwala because girls were also participating in it.
The MQM MNA said the disruption of such events was a violation of the constitution, which encouraged women’s participation in national life.
