KARACHI, May 4: A joint team of the PTCL, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority and the FIA on Wednesday raided an illegal mini-gateway exchange and arrested one person. The exchange was said to be executing international calls bypassing the PTCL gateway exchange, said a PTCL press release issued on Wednesday.

The joint team raided a company named Technical Developers and Medical Transcription situated in Gulshan-i-Iqbal. A DSL switch, routers and other apparatus worth thousands of rupees were discovered and an accused Maqsood was arrested.The exchange had been running for the last three months causing a loss of Rs150 million to national exchequer.—PPI
