KARACHI, May 4: Four ships carrying DAP fertilizer and containers are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Thursday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was modest where four ships, Oranje, Eax Sanctity, APL Dalian and CMA CGM Karibu to unload and load containers were berthed after the departure of six.

The ships, which departed included CMA Karibu, Pu He, Mousavi, Lalazar, Morning Glory and Diamond Park, while Oranje, Star, APL Dalian, Kota Indah, Sagamore, Argpmait and Hyundai Highway are due to sail out on Thursday.

Cargo handling activity at the wharves was maintained on the higher side at 71,900 tons comprising 7,785 tone of export cargo including 2,302 tons of rice and 61,115 tons of import tonnage. The following ships are due on Thursday: Wester Muehlen, APL Orchid, Lykes Trader with containers and Pescardores Bulker, with 42,000 tons of DAP fertilizer.
