KARACHI: Three die in road accidents

KARACHI, May. 2: Three persons died in separate road accidents in different parts of the city on Monday.

A four-year-old girl died in a hit-and-run accident in Korangi. Police said Nafeesa was playing outside her house when she was hit by a speeding vehicle. Police said the girl died on the spot.

Her body was shifted to Jinnah hospital for legal formalities.

A pedestrian died in a road accident near Punjab Colony, Gizri. Police said Mohammad Akhtar, 27, was crossing the main road when he was knocked down by a speeding truck.

The victim was rushed to Jinnah hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Another pedestrian was knocked down by a speeding bus on M A Jinnah Road on Monday.

Police said Murad, 27, was crossing the main thoroughfare when he was hit by a speeding bus of route (8-A). He was rushed to Civil Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
