ISLAMABAD, May 1: Low-ranking employees of the Islamabad capital territory administration have challenged the allotment of plots to their highups in sector G-14, a source in the administration told Dawn on Sunday. The source said 39 employees had challenged the distribution of plots in the Lahore High Court’s Rawalpindi bench, saying they were deprived of the right to get plots in the new sector.

The Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) had reserved a separate quota for the administration in the sector under which 58 plots were offered.

The petitioners maintained that they had been ignored while senior officials were allotted plots.

They claimed that they also met the criteria set by the FGEHF for the allotment of plots.

However, the respondents (FGEHF and others) defended the distribution of plots under the special quota.

They said the petitioners were not eligible for getting plots in the sector.
