Passengers of three coaches robbed

By Our Correspondent

LANDI KOTAL (Khyber Agency), May 1: Nearly 50 people travelling in three passenger coaches were robbed on Saturday night near Arkhnda checkpost, near Kum Shalman. The Shalman-bound coaches were stopped at gunpoint near the Arkhnda checkpost by the robbers wearing masks. They ordered the passengers to disembark and hand over all the valuables they carried.

The robbers collected around Rs150,000, seven wireless phone sets and 21 wrist-watches and escaped.

The passengers registered a case against the robbers. They criticised the khasadar force for their failure to act against the robbers, although their checkpost was only a few yards away from the place.
