Three hurt as shell explodes

PESHAWAR, April 30: Three persons including two Afghans were wounded, one of them seriously, when an explosive device went off in a scrap store in Landi Kotal, Khyber Agency on Friday, officials said.

They said that a live shell exploded inside a scrap store in Suleman Adda of Landi Kotal Bazaar near the Afghan border. The scrap stored at a make-shift warehouse was recently brought from Afghanistan.

An official said Sarfaraz Shinwari, a tribesman, Mohammad Rasool and Arabistan belonged to Afghanistan received injuries who were immediately taken to a local hospital.
