Rusticated CMC students asked to vacate hostel rooms

LARKANA, April 30: The four medical students who were rusticated on Friday for varying period from Chandka Medical College ,CMC, Larkana were asked on Saturday to vacate their hostel rooms immediately.
Professor Sikandar Shaikh, Principal of the college, told this correspondent on Saturday that as the entry of the rusticated students was banned in the campus so they could authorise any one for collecting their belongings from the hostel after consulting the concerned hostel warden, he added.
In the wake of the recent rustication, police was deployed outside the main administration block of the college and the ASP City met the principal to chalk out security arrangements.
It was learnt that a group of students called on the principal on Saturday and pressed for reversing the decision but he (principal) plainly refused to do so. However, he advised them to file appeal with the secretary health against the decision of the executive committee of the CMC and whatever decision he would take, he (principal) would welcome it. He asked them to desist from creating any trouble on the campus in the ensuing examinations of the second professional MBBS starting from May 2 and warned that the mischief makers would be dealt with severely.
NADRA TEAMS: In order to prepare computerized National Identity Cards in the rural areas of Larkana, Shikarpur, Jacobabad and Kashmore districts, three Nadra mobile vans would visit the union councils of the above mentioned districts up to May 7.
The mobile van-III would visit union councils of Warah taluka, mobile van-VII would visit union councils of Lakhi taluka and mobile van-VIII would visit union councils of Kandhkot and Kashmore talukas.
People were advised to get their computerized NICs prepared and cooperate with the staff of the mobile vans in this regard, a Nadra announcement said.
