By Our Staff Reporter

RAWALPINDI, April 30: Regularization of the remaining ad hoc employees of Pakistan Telecommunication Company (PTCL) will start from May 2.

This assurance was given by PTCL President Junaid Khan, Senior Executive Vice-President (Human Resources) Shehzad Sudden and Executive Vice-President (Human Resources) Mansoor Ahson during a meeting with representatives of All Pakistan Pakistan Telecommunication Company Daily Wages Employees Association.

The association’s representatives including Shahid Mehmood, Malik Habib, Chaudhry Imran Aziz, Imranullah Khan, Chaudhry Mazhar Hussain and others informed the PTCL officials of their problems.

The meeting was informed that from May 1, daily-wage workers would receive uniforms which were earlier not provided to them. Formal notification in this regard has been issued, it was told.

About medical facilities, the PTCL chief directed the department concerned to submit a detailed report to him. Medicines should be made available to all PTCL employees, including daily-wage workers, under the rules without any discrimination, he said.

Mr Khan also directed the authorities concerned to ensure provision of other facilities admissible under the company’s rules to all employees.
